$41 Million Settlement for Central Park 5

After nearly three decades, justice has finally come to wrongfully imprisoned plaintiffs of this longstanding civil rights battle. Convicted and incarcerated between the ages of 14 and 16 years old, the infamous “Central Park Five” won their lawsuit against New York City and the NYPD; the men charged the NYPD officers with “false arrest, malicious prosecution, and a racially motivated conspiracy to deprive the men of their civil rights.” Lawyers Karen Dippold, Myron Beldock, and Jonathan Moore of Beldock Levine and Hoffman LLP represent four of the men.
